Coaches Important Information / Dates:
January 25th 6:30pm Coal Mountain coaches meeting at the Coal Mountain community building.
January 27th – Feb 10th – Evaluations February 10th is rain out day.
February 8th – Draft at the Coal Mountain community building starting at 6:00pm.
Times will be staggered by age and communicated to coaches.
February 4th – Coaches clinic hosted by Grit Academy

Kid pitch softball 2:45-3:45pm
Kid pitch baseball 4-5:30pm
February 19th – Practices Begin
March 13th Mandatory Baseball – Forsyth County coaches meeting

Welcome to Coal Mountain Baseball. Our goal is to provide a healthy, safe and challenging experience for all of the children participating in programs at our community park. Thank your for participating.
Eligibility Participation is open to any registered child in his/her appropriate age group whose birthday is prior to May 1st. Every child who registers will be placed on a team.
Registration Fees cover costs associated with recreation league play. Tournament or All-Star play is at your expense.
Birth Certificates Birth certificates are required for all first time registrants. Copies will be retained on file at the Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department.
Coaching Anyone interested in coaching a team (including returning coaches) must sign the Coach’s Application, Background Check Form and leave a copy of their driver’s license at registration. Download the Background Check Consent Form Here
Equipment All players are required to bring their own cleats, glove, helmet and bat.
Evaluations In an effort to provide equal competition across teams, we evaluate players as indicated below. If a child is unavailable for evaluations, he is placed on a team as needed during the draft o/a February 11th. Coaches will begin contacting players after that time with specific team
2019 Rule and Division Alignment Changes:
7/8 division will be divided based on evaluations into 7 majors, 8 majors, and 7/8 minors.
9/10 division will be divided based on evaluations into 9 majors, 10 majors (if enough 10-year-olds of proper ability register), and 9/10 minors.
7 majors and 7/8 minors will be coach pitch.
8 majors will be modified kid pitch (kid pitcher will throw to the batter until an outcome is achieved. If the outcome is a walk the coach will come in and have 2 pitches to finish the at bat.
All 9/10 divisions major or minor will be kid pitch.
